Nutritional Evaluation

Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA)

This is a technologically advanced exam to assess the level of stress in the body’s organs and systems using the energy pathways (meridians as mapped out by traditional oriental physicians, and later, German physician Reinhold Voll). First, a specialized probe is used to detect the level of electrical resistance through points on the hands and feet and along the meridians (painless). Then, a complex software program analyzes the level of resistance in the meridians, cross checks data from the other points, and produces a chart showing the stresses. The chart, and the specific readings from the points are used, along with other collected information, to develop an individualized nutritional program for the correction and prevention of health problems.

Nutritional Reflex Technique (NRT)

A method whereby the examiner determines imbalances in function of the organs and systems of the body by touching acupuncture points and testing for weakness using a strong muscle (usually the shoulder muscle) as an indicator. This can be used as a stand alone evaluation for nutritional need, but is usually performed in our office as a complement to the Meridian Stress Assessment. Testing a persons weak acupuncture points in conjunction with them holding samples of various substances/nutrients, further helps in determining the exact nutritional formulas and dosages needed to correct their condition. Lab Tests

Tests on blood, urine, hair, saliva, and/or stool may be run, if necessary, to further analyze a person’s condition and determine the best course of action to restore their health.

Ion Cleanse Detoxification Footbath

Used either with a specific nutritional detoxification program or alone, this special therapy removes chemical and heavy metal toxins from the body. The procedure uses a FCC, UL and CE certified electrical array inside a warm footbath of purified water and sea salt. By creating alternating positive and negative ions in the bath, through the process of osmosis, oppositely charged toxic particles are literally pulled from a persons body. By the end of a session, it is very apparent that a significant amount of toxicity has been pulled from the body by the thick multi colored residue in the water. The person is usually left with a pleasant tingling sensation in the feet for an hour or more after, as if they had just finished taking a walk through the water on an ocean beach.
